About me

My name is Hannah Maes. I am a linguist in Dutch, English and Spanish. I have immersed myself for three years in Applied Linguistics at Ghent University in Belgium. For my master's degree I chose to specialise in Translation. You can say that I love languages, and I knew that my fascination would only grow.

Not only do I, as a translator, transfer meaning across languages and cultures, I also play with words in other ways. This website showcases all of my writing talents: fantasy novel, poems and blog posts! My aim with the blog is to get people excited about languages and teach them something in the meantime.
